Dealer code of conduct
Last updated 1 October 2026
Every dealer on the portal agrees to these rules before making an offer. They exist so sellers are treated fairly and every dealer competes on the same terms.
Offer what you will pay.
Your offer is based on the description and photos the seller gave. Only lower it at collection if the car is materially different from its description, and tell us why before you do.
Pay the seller before the car leaves.
Pay by bank transfer, in full, before you drive or load the car. If there is finance outstanding, pay the lender direct and the balance to the seller. No cash, no part payments, no paying later.
Arrange your own collection.
Book and pay for collection or transport yourself, at a time that suits the seller.
Be polite to sellers.
Turn up when you said you would. If you are running late or cannot make it, tell the seller and us straight away.
Keep seller details private.
Use the seller's name, phone number and postcode only to complete this purchase. Never share them or use them for marketing.
Fees are agreed before you make an offer.
Any sourcing fee is agreed with you before you make an offer, invoiced separately and payable only if your purchase completes. Nothing is added afterwards.
If any of these rules is broken, we may suspend your account.
How paying works
Agree the price.
Each car shows our sourcing fee before you make an offer. If the seller accepts your offer, the price and the fee are agreed.
Pay the seller before collection.
You pay the seller direct, in full, by bank transfer before the car leaves them. If finance is outstanding, you pay the lender direct and the balance to the seller.
Collect the car.
You collect from the seller at a time you both agree. Our sourcing fee is paid when the sale completes, never before.
