High mileage is fine
The RX hybrid system is proven well past 150,000 miles, and the 450h in particular has a long record of durability. Service history matters more than the clock.

RX 400h to RX 500h, and what each is worth.
Second generation (2003 to 2009): RX 300, RX 350 and RX 400h
The first RX sold widely in the UK, as a petrol RX 300 then RX 350, and from 2005 the RX 400h: the first hybrid SUV on sale, with a 3.3 V6 and electric drive to both axles.
Third generation (AL10, 2009 to 2015): RX 450h
Hybrid-only in the UK. A 3.5 V6 self-charging hybrid with all-wheel drive and a nickel-metal hydride battery. Facelifted in 2012 with the spindle grille.
Fourth generation (AL20, 2015 to 2022): RX 450h and RX L
Sharper styling, the same 3.5 V6 hybrid. The long-wheelbase, seven-seat RX L arrived in 2018. Facelifted in 2019 with a new touchscreen and updated safety assistance.
Fifth generation (AL30, 2022 on): RX 350h, RX 450h+ and RX 500h
All-new on the platform shared with the NX. RX 350h is the 2.5 four-cylinder self-charging hybrid, RX 450h+ the plug-in with an 18.1 kWh battery, and RX 500h the 2.4 turbo performance hybrid with DIRECT4 all-wheel drive. No V6 any more, and no seven-seat version.

How much do you actually pay for a Lexus RX?+
Generation, drivetrain, seats, mileage and condition set the number. We sell into the same trade network that takes our Toyota hybrids, and the RX shares its hybrid engineering with them, so the same valuers price it by hand. Do you buy older RX 400h and RX 300 or RX 350 petrols?+
Yes. Age alone never rules one out. Older RXs are priced on battery condition and history, which do most of the work on the 400h.
Is the RX 450h+ plug-in priced differently from the 350h?+
Yes. The plug-in carries an 18.1 kWh battery and genuine electric range, and it prices as its own drivetrain. Declare it in the valuation flow, and tell us how it has been charged.
How is the seven-seat RX L priced?+
It is priced as the car it is: the long-wheelbase body and third row are a different specification, and we value that rather than treating it as a standard RX.
Do you buy a high-mileage RX?+
Yes. There is no mileage cap. The RX hybrid system is the same family as the Toyota hybrids we buy, so service history and battery condition tell us more than the number on the odometer.

How quickly will I hear back after I submit my reg?+
A valuer who knows Toyotas reads your submission and replies with a firm offer within 2 hours in opening hours. We do not run an instant quote tool: one Lexus RX with a full service history and another with a warning light on the dash are different cars, and only a person can tell them apart from your reg and your notes.
How long does the offer stand?+
For at least 72 hours, with the expiry date written on the offer so there is nothing to work out. Let it lapse and we simply price the Toyota again on that day's trade figures.
Do you collect, and does collection cost anything?+
Anywhere in the UK, at a time you pick, and collection is free when your offer includes it. If you are near Bethnal Green and would rather drive it to the office, bring it in and the handover happens there.
When and how do I get paid?+
Paid in full by bank transfer before your vehicle leaves. The Toyota is checked against what you told us, you accept, and the full amount is sent before anyone drives it away. Nothing is deducted for admin or anything else. The price holds if the vehicle is as described. Any change is explained first, and you can say no.
What do I need to have ready on the day?+
Your V5C logbook, in your name, plus photo ID, every key you have and your UK bank details. If the Toyota has a service book or Hybrid Health Check paperwork, have it to hand, and a finance settlement letter if money is still owing.
